Melissa Ellis, DNP, APRN, FNP-C is certified by the American Association of Nurse Practitioners.

She was born in North Carolina but grew up in upstate New York. Melissa joined the US Air Force after high school graduation and served for 10 years. After leaving the military Melissa completed her undergraduate degrees at Bellevue University and Southern Illinois University at Edwardsville. In 2017, she graduated with her Doctor of Nursing Practice from University of Massachusetts - Amherst.  
 
Melissa has specialized in Internal Medicine and Primary Care. Prior to becoming an NP, she spent ten years working medical surgical, post-operative, and neurology hospital inpatient units.  
Her professional memberships include American Association of Nurse Practitioners, and Florida Nurse Practitioners. Some of her hobbies include reading, running, spending time with her family, and traveling.  
 
Melissa joined the team of clinicians at Florida Pain Institute in September 2023 to provide care to patients with acute and chronic pain.
